Clear Action Intensive

A facilitated workshop for leadership teams who need a north star and an aligned team to reach it.

Are you navigating pivotal change? The Clear Action Intensive moves team from uncertainty to strategic direction. Through a guided collaborative framework, we address systemic issues that cause friction and unwanted complexity in your organization.

This works upstream of traditional offsites and sprints by addressing the full picture: What is felt and known vs. what is unknown and unnamed. By building trust and understanding, alignment becomes possible that carries through to execution.

Land at a fresh starting point with team cohesion, an honest strategic direction, and prototypes to test. Set up your next phase for success with shared conviction.

The Pain of Change

The effects you feel everyday are limiting your potential.

Change is hard. You're very likely experiencing challenges in the areas of presence, culture, vision, and making.

See our four pillars of impact in our Framework
  • Presence

    Stress hijacks judgment

    Problem

Tension hinders work, diminishing sense of self and harming relationships when you need clarity the most.

  • Purpose

    Shared passion, scattered direction

    Problem

Every stakeholder has a belief about the future, but without articulation and alignment purpose drifts.

  • Culture

    Working close, but not together

    Problem

Lack of community and connection generates miscommunication, disconnection, and attrition.

  • Craft

    Many directions, no conviction

    Problem

Lots of ideas are promising, but the direction, specifics, and plan are unclear.

The Change You Need

The problem you're facing is systemic. You need a change in kind, not just a change in degree.

The struggle is real, and it is not because your team lacks effort. You are likely dealing with a qualitative shift that requires a new way of seeing and deciding together.

Change in Kind

Transformational

A qualitative shift that creates a new world, not just a better version of the old one. Think horse to car, not horse with better shoes.

This intensive is designed for threshold moments where old maps no longer fit the terrain. If this is your moment, you're in the right place.

Change in Degree

Incremental

Improvement of what already exists: faster, better, more efficient. This is quantitative and world-expanding.

If this is what you need, explore strategic planning, foundations, strategy, and outcome-driven collaboration formats—we often run them as workshops and sprints.

Outcomes & Impacts

Arrive at clear action through embodied strategies for change.

Find renewed purpose, deep understanding, prototypes to start moving, and act with shared conviction in a clear direction.

Tangible outputs you will receive.

  • Strategic Direction. One crystallized strategic direction rooted in the team’s collective sensing.
  • Concrete Prototypes. 2–3 concrete prototypes designed for real-world testing within 1–2 weeks, with owners, timelines, and an action plan.
  • Documented Synthesis. Documented synthesis of what emerged for your group in this process—both tangibly in its outcome, and also relationally: the key insights and shifts necessary to carry forward on an authentic path together.
  • Practice Toolkit. A toolkit of somatic exercises and deep listening techniques for your team to draw on independently in future moments of complexity.

Qualities you will feel and own.

  • Ownership. Rooted in identification, not just agreement. When direction emerges from a process in which people fully participated, they see themselves in the decision. The path forward isn’t something handed to them; it’s something they shaped.
  • Brave Communication. Expanded capacity to make space for what usually goes unsaid. Having experienced it once, the group knows this mode is available and can return to it with growing independence.
  • Repeatable Practice. A repeatable way of facing uncertainty together. The practices and rhythms introduced during the intensive can integrate into how the team works ongoing, building a capacity to navigate future complexity without defaulting to old patterns.

What This Is Not

Not another offsite. Not a sprint.

Different from a strategy offsite.

A typical offsite reorganizes what the team already knows into a plan. The Clear Action Intensive surfaces what sits beneath that—the tensions, intuitions, and possibilities that shape outcomes but rarely make it onto a whiteboard.

Different from a design sprint.

A design sprint moves from a defined problem to a testable solution. We work one step upstream: for the moments when the problem itself isn’t clear, or when the bottleneck is less about what you build and more about how your team relates to each other while building it.

How We Work

Integrating mind and body for effective "sense-making"

“Sense-making” is the active, ongoing process of creating situational awareness and understanding in complex, uncertain, or ambiguous situations. The Clear Action Intensive intentionally integrates embodied and analytical practice into a single process. Working in both at once is what produces direction a team can both act on and trust.

This approach is grounded in our principles—including Whole Intelligence and Multi-Modal Sense-making—and the research supporting these frameworks.

Analytical Process and Outcomes

This is structured thinking work that helps your team get clear on what you know, identify what's in motion, and make confident decisions about where to go next.

What You Will Experience

  • Reflecting on what we know to be true at this time
  • Mapping the current variables as we understand them
  • Conceiving of novel prototypes to test and move forward with

Embodied Process and Outcomes

This is practice-based work that helps your team access a deeper layer of knowing, one that lives beneath the data and surfaces through attention, presence, and genuine connection.

What You Will Experience

  • Sensing into what feels right and true for this moment
  • Attuning to what wants to emerge as you listen more carefully
  • Relating more deeply to each other and to the context you're working within

What happens during the Clear Action Intensive?

Seven deliberate steps that lead to aligned action. Each builds the conditions for the next.

The intensive follows the arc of Theory U, developed by Otto Scharmer and colleagues at MIT and used globally in large-scale systems change for over two decades.6 The U process moves a group through deepening modes of attention, from observing and sensing into presencing, before crystallizing direction and prototyping action. It provides the structural spine of the intensive: a proven sequence for helping teams move through uncertainty into committed, authentic direction.

01

Arrive and Attune

Guided somatic practices and check-ins to ground the group together, settling into presence and building the safety for what’s ahead.

02

Map the Living System

Ecosystem mapping, where each person shares their unique perspective to build a cohesive picture of what’s really happening.

03

Listen Beneath the Surface

Deep-listening exercises that surface the tensions, intuitions, and concerns that don’t come up in normal meetings. Trust deepens.

04

Cross the Threshold

Reflective and embodied practices to release fixed assumptions and open to what’s emerging. The turning point of the process.

05

Crystallize Direction

What emerged takes shape as shared language and a few clear paths forward, grounded in what the group knows, feels, and cares about.

06

Prototype and Test

Each direction becomes 2 to 3 small experiments with owners and timelines, ready for real-world testing within weeks.

07

Integrate and Commit

Personal commitments, shared rhythms for continuing, and the practices to return to this way of working together. A starting point, not an ending.

Who this is for

Who this is for, and who it's not.

This program is a moment of being with change and finding direction. Are you ready?

A strong fit if…

You're a founder, executive, or leadership team steering a pivotal change in your organization—and shared direction is still the open question.

  • Your team of 3 to 15 is facing a real inflection point: a pivot, a market shift, a growth transition, or genuine strategic uncertainty.
  • You're navigating something that can't be solved by thinking harder about the same information from the same perspective.
  • You've tried conventional strategy approaches, found they produce plans but not conviction, and want to go deeper
  • You sense the answer lives in the collective intelligence of your team, but your usual ways of working aren't surfacing it.
  • You want direction your team genuinely owns, not just understands. A way forward that addresses the change before you while honoring what your people actually think, feel, and can carry.

Probably not right if…

Depending on your goals, we may have a better program for you.

  • You have already decided the direction and need execution support or a classic design sprint. We offer Outcome-driven workshops for that. This intensive is for when direction itself is still open.
  • Your priority is embodiment, presence, or team culture—not working through open strategic direction as a leadership group. We offer Awareness-based programs for that.
  • Your leadership has predetermined the strategy and primarily wants buy-in. The process here is genuinely open.
  • The group is unwilling to engage reflective and embodied practices alongside analytical thinking.
  • You need a polished board-ready deliverable on a very short clock. Outputs here are working prototypes and clear strategic intentions—not a final board package.

Investment

What you invest, and the outcomes you get.

$15,000*

*Typically a three-day workshop developed and delivered over a 2–3 week engagement. Scope customized to client needs. Sliding scale pricing to benefit small to large organizations.

Tangible outputs you will receive

  • Strategic direction

One crystallized strategic direction rooted in the team’s collective sensing.

  • Concrete prototypes

2–3 concrete prototypes designed for real-world testing within 1–2 weeks, with owners, timelines, and an action plan.

  • Current reality map

A visual map of the current reality, including dimensions that were previously invisible to the group.

  • Documented synthesis

Documented synthesis of what emerged for your group in this process, both tangibly in its outcome, and also relationally—how your group shifted perspectives and ways of relating as part of this process—the key insights and shifts necessary to carry forward on an authentic path together and for ongoing support.

  • Prototype review session

90-minute follow-up session at weeks 2–3 to review prototype learnings.

Qualities you feel and own

  • Ownership

Rooted in identification, not just agreement. When direction emerges from a process in which people fully participated, they see themselves in the decision. The path forward isn’t something handed to them; it’s something they shaped. That identification creates a quality of commitment that survives contact with real-world complexity.

  • Expanded capacity for brave communication.

The team experiences a different way of being in conversation together, one that makes space for what usually goes unsaid. Having experienced it once, the group knows this mode is available and can return to it with growing independence.

  • A repeatable way of facing uncertainty together.

The practices and rhythms introduced during the intensive can integrate into how the team works ongoing, building a capacity to navigate future complexity without defaulting to old patterns.

The useful comparison isn't only the fee—it's what staying stuck in misalignment is already costing you.

One month of strategic drift or unresolved direction for a team of ten often represents on the order of $25K–$40K in lost productive capacity. This intensive is a bounded engagement with concrete outputs—not an open-ended consulting tab.

On a complimentary discovery call, we'll talk through what you're facing, the effects and impacts you want, and whether this program matches your moment—honest fit, no hard sell.

FAQ

Common questions.

How is this different from a strategy offsite?

A typical offsite reorganizes existing knowledge into a plan. The Clear Action Intensive surfaces the insights, tensions, and possibilities that live beneath the group’s existing narratives, including relational and emotional dimensions that are always present but rarely addressed.

How is this different from a design sprint?

Design sprints move from a defined problem to a testable solution. The Clear Action Intensive operates upstream: for moments when the problem itself isn’t clear, or when the challenge is as much about how the team relates to one another as about what they build.

Does the whole team need to participate?

Yes. Ideally, key stakeholders take part in this process altogether. Partial participation changes the dynamic fundamentally. If key people can’t commit, it’s better to find a time when everyone can be present. We can also work with your stakeholders’ schedules to coordinate the best fit.

What’s your cancellation policy?
